On Friday April 10 we wound up the Freundeskreis für Integration Inzing: the end of an era. Sadly so. An era that was founded by Andreas Tausch and Luis Strasser. It was felt that the association had largely completed its primary function: to integrate ‘Newcomers’ into living in Inzing and having social contacts, and to encourage their mutual self-help.

Over a dozen of us met in the Widum to celebrate the association. A lavish table of ‘goodies’ – pastries, cakes, and much more – were well received!
We offered a special tribute to Daniela (Klockner) for coordinating the activities of the Freundeskreis over the last few years. We thanked her for…

- her idealistic commitment
- her systematic and efficient guidance
- her careful overview
- her sympathetic care and concern
We presented her with a present and a voucher: tokens of our sincere, heartfelt appreciation for all her hard work.

Thank you, Sandrew, for this nice report. I am sure the Freundeskreis has helped many people find their bearings in a new environment, not least thanks to the efforts of people like you.
I have fond memories of excursions on the Zirbenweg on Patscherkofel or of an evening of dance, music (and amazing food) in the Mehrzwecksaal that brought people from here and from far away together.
I hope that many who came here in difficult times have found a new place in the world. Vartuhi, who now has her own restaurant, is a shining example.
